Pope Francis and the Church want you to experience the fullness of life that only comes with knowing and loving Jesus Christ. Come to Ignite, a one-day event for high school students, on Nov. 24th, to feel alive in Christ.
Ignite will return November 24, 2024 for youth from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana at Roncalli High School in Indianapolis.
Chika Anyanwu is a Catholic evangelist, former Confirmation coordinator/youth & young adult minister, and the author of "My Encounter: How I Met Jesus in Prayer". Her love of God and neighbor enthuses her to share the gospel through testimony, scripture, and honest conversations about the difficult realities of faith and life. She’s had the opportunity to evangelize at NCYC, Given, Steubenville youth conferences, FOCUS SEEK conferences, and The Catholic Feminist France pilgrimage. She’s also a contributor to Blessed Is She as well as “Connected” and “Venture: the Bible Timeline” by Ascension Press. Chika is a part of a beautiful Nigerian family, loves her coffee black, and desires sainthood for herself and you, although bad drivers challenge her sanctity!
Blakesley has been featured on Sirius XM, EWTN’s Life on the Rock, Relevant Radio, KLOVE and has performed with wide variety of Christian artists like Matt Maher, Andrew Peterson, Jars of Clay and the Newsboys as well as several International Papal events. He continues to tour the US and Canada in 2024. He also works directly with the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Life Teen International, Catholic HeartWork Camp, Adore Ministries, as well as many churches and conferences of all sizes, all in an effort to live out his calling and to “make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:18)

The drawing will take place live and in color at Ignite!
To help you get the support you need for Ignite, for every six youth tickets purchased, we will give you one free adult ticket. We will be in contact with you to confirm these free tickets!
The chapel will be open for Eucharistic Adoration during the breakout sessions.
Life is full of choices, and while it can be easy to know what the right thing to do is, sometimes acting on it can be a little harder. In this breakout session, we'll tackle how to make moral decisions when the lines between right and wrong feel blurred. We'll talk about real-life situations like how to stand up for what's right when everyone around you is choosing differently, what you can do when you're faced with gossip, cheating, or peer pressure, and how to rely on your faith to guide you in those tough moments. Together, we'll look at practical ways to apply Christian morals to everyday challenges.
Friendship is one of the greatest gifts we can experience, but in today's world, it can be hard to know what real friendship looks like. In this breakout session, we'll explore the qualities of true, authentic friendship and how to build deeper, more meaningful relationships that reflect Christ's love. Join Chika as she unpacks the importance of vulnerability, trust, and support in friendships, and learn how to surround yourself with people who uplift and challenge you to grow in your faith.
Prayer is at the heart of our relationship with God, and one of the ways that we can stay best rooted in our identity as a beloved child of the Father, but sometimes it can feel difficult to know where to start. In this breakout session, we'll explore the importance of including prayer in your daily life and the many different ways that you can pray. Whether you are just starting out on your faith journey, or looking to go deeper, this breakout will have something for everyone.
Sharing your faith can feel intimidating, even when you feel like you have all the right words, in this breakout you'll learn how to craft a meaningful testimony that feels natural and conversational, one that can answer the questions you may encounter in the locker room or around the lunch table about your faith. Sharing your personal story can be one of the best ways to witness to others about the love of Jesus and this session will equip you with the confidence to share how Christ has worked in your life in a way that is personal and real.
We understand that large events can sometimes feel overwhelming, so we've created a sensory-friendly breakout designed to provide a calm, peaceful environment. The breakout will include a hands on activity of faith that will provide some quiet time for prayer and reflection. This will be a smaller breakout and will be first come, first serve.
**Breakout for Leaders Only**
This breakout will provide an opportunity for leaders to sit down and hear about how to use Ignite as part of their ministry year. We want Ignite to be an event that is not just an epic day, but an epic springboard for your ministry. Catherine Ord from Vagabond Missions will be leading the breakout and equipping you with the tools that you need to make Ignite last longer than just one day.Ignite is a one day high school event open to teens from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and the Diocese of Lafayette. The goal of the day is to create a space for teens to encounter the love of Christ and the personal reality of our faith. The day includes keynotes, music, breakouts, mass with Archbishop Thompson, and an opportunity to experience the larger Church of Indiana. Held on the off years of NCYC Indianapolis, Ignite offers similar opportunities to the local Indiana youth packed into a one day experience. Ignite offers a chance to see the Church in action, encounter Jesus, and walk away with practical ways for teens to deepen their faith and relationship with God.
Ignite will take place at Roncalli High School in Indianapolis.
